Championship Showdowns
Makhachev secured his welterweight title last November, utilizing his grappling skills to control his opponent for five rounds. This victory made him a two-weight world champion and extended his winning streak to 16, matching a UFC record.
Garry earned his title shot with wins over Carlos Prates and former champion Belal Muhammad in 2025. He has a 10-1 UFC record and is recognized for his striking, footwork, and ability to use his reach effectively. The size difference between Makhachev and Garry, with Garry having a four-inch advantage in height and reach, is noted as a potential factor in the fight.
The co-main event features Mackenzie Dern defending her Women’s Strawweight Championship for the first time against Gillian Robertson. Dern won the vacant title last October, coming back to defeat Virna Jandiroba. A decorated Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner, Dern has also developed her striking throughout her UFC career.

Robertson comes into the fight on a five-fight winning streak, with six wins in seven appearances since returning to the strawweight division. She recently defeated Amanda Lemos in March. Robertson is known for her grappling, holding the record for the most submission wins among female fighters in UFC history.
Additional Main Card Bouts
The main card also includes a flyweight bout between Charles Johnson and Jose Ochoa. Johnson, an American veteran, will be making his fourth start of the year. Ochoa, a 25-year-old from Peru, has a professional record of 9-2, with a stoppage win and a unanimous decision victory in 2025.
Another main card matchup features Mansur Abdul-Malik against Dustin Stoltzfus. Abdul-Malik is returning to the Octagon after experiencing his first professional loss. Both fighters are graduates of Dana White’s Contender Series and have roots in Pennsylvania.

The card also includes Edson Barboza facing Esteban Ribovics. Barboza previously fought in Philadelphia in March 2019. The event promises a series of quality performances throughout the lineup, with a history of stoppages in past Philadelphia UFC events.
Preliminary Fights
The preliminary card features several matchups, including Chidi Njokuani against Joel Alvarez and Jalin Turner facing Kaue Fernandes. Other preliminary bouts include Donte Johnson vs. Eric McConico, Vicente Luque vs. Tresean Gore, Rafael Tobias vs. Lucas Fernando, Neil Magny vs. Ramiz Brahimaj, and Jeremiah Wells vs. Myktybek Orolbai.

The early preliminary card is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, followed by the preliminary card at 7 p.m. ET, and the main card starting at 9 p.m. ET.
